How does First Bank Upper Michigan collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Give us your employment history or pay us by check
  • Show your driver's license

Why can't I limit all sharing?

  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions
Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies. 

  • Our affiliates include financial companies, such as First Bancshares Corporation, Northern Michigan Bank & Trust; nonfinancial companies, such as Lasco Development Corporation
Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They may be financial or nonfinancial companies.

  • First Bank Upper Michigan does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • First Bank Upper Michigan does not jointly market.
